Outdoor Burning

Burn season is set to resume in December 2022.

Three easy steps for a burn permit:

1

Submit a permit application to Cal Fire at https://burnpermit.fire.ca.gov/.

2

Go to www.mbuapcd.org and confirm the burn day status.

3

Notify Chief Reimer by completing this form.

You're ready to burn!

Remember!

  1. Well in advance, tarp the piles so the material stays dry. Burn only dry vegetation.

  2. After 4:00 p.m. the day before, call 1-800-225-2876 to see if it will be a burn day.

  3. If you have any questions on whether your proposed burn complies with these requirements, please don’t hesitate to call the Air Pollution Control District, Enforcement Division, at 831-647-9411 or Chief Reimer at 831-233-4650 or jessereimer@cachaguafire.com.

Please complete the following form to notify Chief Reimer of your intended burn.
